The picture left shows the Cheshire Lines railway which is now the Coast Road. The bomb crater was May 1941. There was a station at Woodvale, where the Coast Road now meets Liverpool Road to start the Formby-by-Pass. |

| Cavendish House, at Woodvale on Liverpool Rd, where it met the Cheshire Lines railway. | House was built in 1889 for Robert Bentick and was demolished in 1972. |
